Ever learning…

Hi, I’m Ginger – wife, mother, and full-time employee.

My mission statement: To motivate and encourage women and young ladies to study God’s Word and seek to glorify Him above all else in their lives.

Over the last three, almost four, years now, God has made it increasingly clear that He has many lessons to teach me. He has such a sense of humor, taking something (or someone) I desired so greatly and using it (or them) to show me how He wants to work in my life.

Certainly, I learned some lessons and saw some amazing analogies with my first child and then the loss we experienced several years ago, but this.

This is a different season for my life as a whole… physically, mentally, emotionally, and more so spiritually.

Almost daily now, the Holy Spirit nudges (convicts) me, as if to say, ”You know these things you want her to to do and how it frustrates you that it does not seem to be getting through to her? What if you saw them as things God wants you to learn and do? What if you understood how much God longs for you to grow and obey Him in these things?”

I do not know if I will be able to recall all the lessons. If only I had documented them in some way from the beginning.

But as one of my favorite authors, Robin Jones Gunn says, ”Grace on you! Not shame!” I have just finished recently her book Victim of Grace (click the link to find it on Amazon). Robin has a way of pulling you into her writing and make you feel that you and she are sitting in her back yard, having a girl-to-girl conversation. She reminds the reader in her book that all the circumstances in our lives are products of the grace God has bestowed on each of His children.

All the good, all the bad. God’s grace and love is overwhelmingly evident.

God has given me grace and a gift of lessons for this fresh season of my life. It is my prayer as the lessons, thoughts, and stories are shared, you will also find a refreshing sense of God’s presence in your life. 

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21, NKJV).
